Interested in home schooling? You've come to the right place!

Are YOU a new parent interested in home schooling your child? It's not an easy road, that's for sure--but it can be a fantastic way to take direct control of your child's education and development. I've been doing just this for my own three children for six years now, and I've decided that it's time to share what I know with the world. I'll be covering how to brush up on the subjects you might not be so hot at yourself, how to ensure your child receives the proper socialisation and how best to make learning fun for all the family--and much, much more!

Top Reasons to Send Your Child to a Child Care Centre vs a Family Daycare

When seeking child care for your child, you might have heard about family daycares. These are typically small and are operated out of a person's home. Another option is to send your child to a child care centre.

There May Be Children Closer to Your Child's Age

Since family daycares are much smaller, there typically aren't nearly as many children being cared for there each day. One downside of this is the fact that the children might be of mixed ages, and there might not be many -- or any -- children who are close to your child in age.

In a bigger child care centre, on the other hand, classes or groups are often grouped by age, and there's a much better chance that your child will be surrounded by other kids who are very close to them in age. This can be a lot more fun for your child since they might have more fun playing with other children who are about the same age. It can help your child develop social skills, too.

They Often Have More Toys and Equipment

Child care centres often have more money in the budget and more space. Because of these things, they are often able to set up more playground equipment outside and more toys and books inside for children to play with. This means that your child might have a lot more fun at a child care centre since there might be more for them to see, do and experience.

Pricing Is Sometimes More Affordable

You might assume that a child care centre is going to be more expensive than a family daycare, but this often is not actually the case. Larger child care centres are able to enjoy bulk pricing on supplies and other discounts that simply aren't applicable for family daycares. Because of this, and because of the fact that they have more children whose parents are paying for child care services, they are sometimes able to offer lower rates. Additionally, some child care centres actually offer programs for lower-income individuals, which isn't something you will usually find at a family daycare. If cost is important because of a tight family budget, however, it's a good idea to look into pricing at several different daycares and child care centres until you find something that suits your family's budget.

These are some of the top reasons why you should send your child to a child care centre instead of a family daycare. If you take the time to look for one, you should be able to find a child care centre that will provide excellent care for your little one.
